Water Supply Problems
Your dishwasher is supplied with water through a water inlet hose. It is located under the sink. If it’s not properly connected or there are kinks in the hose, water may not get to the appliance. The tap on the hose should be set to open. When there’s no water entering your dishwasher, try turning the knob to see if the problem is resolved. If not, the problem is somewhere else; remember to turn the tap back to its normal position in that case, or you might be cleaning up a flood as well.
Faulty Water Inlet Valve

The float prevents the dishwasher from over filling. As the water level rises, so does the float, which triggers the float switch when the water fills the machine to the desired level. A float can be restricted by debris or foreign objects. When the float gets stuck or is blocked, it can’t disengage the float switch to open the inlet valve, and water won’t flow into the dishwasher. Poor wire connections can affect this mechanism as well.
Malfunctioning Door Switch
If the door is opened during a wash cycle, the door switch automatically stops the machine. This on/off mechanism is located behind and on top of the door panel. Electrical wiring problems may be present or the switch may be faulty. The Dishwasher Is Leaking
You may not see a leak, but the anti-flood protection system may have detected one and has activated. The inlet valve will remain closed. At that point, it won’t allow any water into the dishwasher. To check for a leak, look under the base of the appliance under the door.

A dishwasher’s spray arms can become blocked. There may also be something caught between the spray arms and pump. To clean the spray arms, carefully remove them and run the dishwasher to try to clear out any blockages and restore the flow of water.
